Day 72 - The Confused Flower

I'm not really proud of this photo, but it was taken with one hand while the other was holding two bags and a cup of hot chocolate, so I'm going to give myself a little break. This flower looks like it's reaching the end of its life so I thought I'd try to capture it before it was too late. I actually rotated the picture 180 degrees because I thought it would make it look better but I'm not so sure.

Day 71 - Traffic Christmas Lights

I was in Kitchener today and the traffic lights reminded me of Christmas lights. I've started mentally creating a list of gifts and things to get for everyone.

Day 70 - Chuck Taylor Converses

These are my friend's worn out shoes and I thought they had such an interesting design. I actually liked how they were worn out and I tried to edit the photo and exaggerate the "grunge" feeling but I'm afraid I might have gone overboard.

Day 69 - Bow Headband

Wow this is a close call. I've been studying and I told myself I couldn't post until I finished the chapter. I didn't finish the chapter yet but I'm also under the time constraint. It's kind of ironic because I'm studying for my Organizational Behaviour class. The topics include motivation and goals and it seems even though I'm studying it... I can't implement it so well. I'll learn eventually.

Oh this is my friend's headband that I quickly nabbed from her room quickly for a photo.

Day 68 - Box Blues

I must admit this is kind of a lazy shot. This is just the pattern on one of my storage boxes. It snowed the other day in Waterloo. That means it's fair game to start playing Christmas music up until Christmas now!

Day 67 - Sushi 99

Today we went to a place called Sushi 99 to eat all you can eat sushi. I intended on taking a photo of the sushi with my DSLR but it turns out that I left the memory card in my laptop (it's a terrible realization... same with forgetting a battery). I think I should start carrying a spare memory card wherever I go. Anyways, I just had my iPod Touch with me, and so I used an application called, "Instagram" which takes a photo and then gives an option to put a filter on the photo and I figured I would try the application out on this photo. It's a lot more grainy than I thought but at least now I've learned a lesson.

Day 66 - Penguins Can Fly

This is Waddle. I have had Waddle since I was four. I threw him in the air and tried to take a photo but it kind of failed. It still kind of looks like he's jumping off to dive or something. I will revisit this photo another day.

Day 65 - Rock Candy

These look like rocks but it's actually chocolate. They're called, "Chocolate River Rocks". They seem to taste more delicious than regular chocolate.

Day 64 - Lighting 101

Today I went I was with the UW Photo Club again and lighting was the topic. I think it was actually the first time I experimented with strobes, flashes, umbrellas, softboxes and all these fancy lighting gear. It made me really want some sort of external flash of my own.

Day 63 - Facetime with Cathy

This is my friend Cathy and we were both experimenting with the new Apple Facetime. The thing in the back is actually the back of her head and I'm in the small rectangle within the iPod.

Day 62 - Bird Stand

This is my friend's jewelery stand and it has a little bird on top of it. My jewelery stand is similar to this too but it makes sense since they were both bought from the same store, Urban Outfitters.

Day 61 - Halloween Socks

Happy Halloween! It didn't really feel like Halloween. I was kind of hoping that someone in a scary costume would magically appear or something but that didn't happen and so I had to improvise.

Day 60 - Joe Lights

My friend had those light sparklers and I have wanted to do light writing for a while. This was taken technically last night but that was still past midnight.

Day 59 - Toothpick Man

I am in my friend's house in Toronto and she has this really interesting toothpick holder. You just have to take the blue thing and lift it up and then down and the toothpick magically appears! It's quite amusing.

Day 58 - Fairy Castle

I forgot my friend bought this cactus a while ago but it's kind of falling out of its pot and it's kind of neglected by its owner. I have decided that my next photography investment will be a camera flash. I think I'll enjoy experimenting with lighting.

Day 57 - Engineering 5 Rainbow

Today there was a meeting with the UW Photo Club and there was a photo contest. The theme was the new Engineering 5 building. I spent a good hour trying to find a photo but it turned out the first photo was the photo I liked the most.

Day 56 - Tuesday Grocery Shopping

On Tuesdays, there is a 10% discount at the grocery store and so we stock up on food. They had some good deals today, especially on Tropicana juice. The original price was around $6.47 for a jug and it was on sale for only $3.00. Between three of us, we bought 9 jugs.

Day 55 - Pink Camouflage

I haven't been spending as much time as I'd like with photography lately. I spend on average maybe 15 minutes a day for my Project 365, and that includes uploading and posting too. I look forward to when I can actually spend a good amount of time on my posts.

This is my friend's stuffed dog that she got from the store PINK that was free with another purchase or some sort of promotion like that. The background is her bedsheets and I thought it kind of camouflaged well, but I realized I kind of messed up the focus.

Day 54 - Cupcake Magnets

My friend got these magnets as a prize once when we went to a Waterloo Warrior Weekend. They've been on our fridge for a while and I wonder why it took so long for me to realize that they were quite photogenic.

Day 53 - Flower Power

I found this in my friend's room. It was from first year residence. I seem to do a lot of minimalistic photos.
